This booked answered all the questions from the previous books。 I still felt Adrian needed serious mental help。 He knew how he treated Lia was wrong but felt she had no choice but to accept the treatment even when he saw the damage he was doing to her mental state of mind。 He was possessive， obsessive and treated her like his slave。 Lia accepted this behavior because she believed he loved her。 Finally realizing Adrian didn't know what love was let alone showing love。 He realized what he felt was This booked answered all the questions from the previous books。 I still felt Adrian needed serious mental help。 He knew how he treated Lia was wrong but felt she had no choice but to accept the treatment even when he saw the damage he was doing to her mental state of mind。 He was possessive， obsessive and treated her like his slave。 Lia accepted this behavior because she believed he loved her。 Finally realizing Adrian didn't know what love was let alone showing love。 He realized what he felt was true love for his wife and son。 The ending for Lia turned out very well。 Luca's character was confusing until the last couple of chapters in the book which was surprising and explained their long time friendship。 。。。more

Consumed by Deception is the third and final book in Lia & Adrian's story and man is it explosive all the way around！ I know some people try to come into a series or trilogy late so YOU MUST READ Vow of Deception （Book 1） & Tempted by Deception （Book 2） FIRST AND IN ORDER！ At this point all questions are answered & all secrets have been revealed。 The suspense is top notch since I was never sure as to which direction Rina Kent was going in， and what a ride it was。 Things that I never even suspect Consumed by Deception is the third and final book in Lia & Adrian's story and man is it explosive all the way around！ I know some people try to come into a series or trilogy late so YOU MUST READ Vow of Deception （Book 1） & Tempted by Deception （Book 2） FIRST AND IN ORDER！ At this point all questions are answered & all secrets have been revealed。 The suspense is top notch since I was never sure as to which direction Rina Kent was going in， and what a ride it was。 Things that I never even suspected happened， and finally， I fell completely for Adrian but I'll never tell why。 Having more of Adrian's thinking from his POV definitely helped me understand him more despite thinking he needed to grovel a bit more but that's just me LOL！ It can also be bittersweet to end a journey that I've been all in for because I need to know it all but I never want it to end， and the Deception Trilogy is 100% in this category。 That's all from me so I'll end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL！ 。。。more

I love a good dark romance especially when it’s written by Rina Kent。 This was such a unique and twisted series filled with RK’s trademark steam， suspense， and angst。 The entire trilogy kept me guessing and the alternating POVs and nonlinear timeline held my attention even more than usual （I’m extra sleep deprived as a result but it was totally worth it）。 I don’t always enjoy a lot of flashbacks when I read romantic suspense， but the way this story was divided and spread out across the three boo I love a good dark romance especially when it’s written by Rina Kent。 This was such a unique and twisted series filled with RK’s trademark steam， suspense， and angst。 The entire trilogy kept me guessing and the alternating POVs and nonlinear timeline held my attention even more than usual （I’m extra sleep deprived as a result but it was totally worth it）。 I don’t always enjoy a lot of flashbacks when I read romantic suspense， but the way this story was divided and spread out across the three books made it addictive。 Second chance romances can be very hit or miss for me。 Honestly， there’s so many that I really dislike but。。。 when they have a wildly unique and complex plot like the Deception Trilogy they can be some of my absolute favorite books to read。 I love seeing characters grow and find themselves while they find their way back to each other。 I went from hating Adrian， to feeling indifferent about him， then back to hating him， to thinking maybe he’s alright， and then kind of liking him before getting mad at him again， and now finally loving him。 If you ask me （you didn’t） these wild rides are the best kind of romances。 I waited until right before the last book came out to start reading this series and it was a genius idea if I do say so myself。 There’s no way I could have waited weeks between each book。 Clear your schedule because you won’t be able to put this bad boy down。 。。。more

This was the best book in the trilogy。 Unlike in the two first books， I felt the deep connection between Adrian and Lia。 This alone made me root for them and made my heart melt every time they spoke honestly to each other。Lia was so much better in CBD。 She grew on me and damn， she had balls。 As always， I was in love with Adrian and with how much of a villain he is。 He's sooo dreamy。Their moment with Jeremy were so heart-warming ughhhh。Once more， Yan won me over as well。 I think he's the best sec This was the best book in the trilogy。 Unlike in the two first books， I felt the deep connection between Adrian and Lia。 This alone made me root for them and made my heart melt every time they spoke honestly to each other。Lia was so much better in CBD。 She grew on me and damn， she had balls。 As always， I was in love with Adrian and with how much of a villain he is。 He's sooo dreamy。Their moment with Jeremy were so heart-warming ughhhh。Once more， Yan won me over as well。 I think he's the best secondary characters in the series。 He's so fun and I live for his loyalty towards Lia。 It was so cute。 I also live for his banter with Kolya and to be completely honest and I ship them a lot。 I know this isn't confirmed but when I think about the way Kolya was defending Yan to Adrian， about their age-gap， about their banter， about the way "Kolya staggers a little" after Yan punched him lightly and about Yan saying to him that : "I'll break through that ice one day， you have my fucking word" I just melt。 I can't help but love them together。 I hope that's where it's heading for Yan - and not towards Winter because for now， I really don't like her。Anyways。 This was such a nice conclusion to this trilogy and my heart is breaking a little to have to part from these characters and the mafia world。 。。。more

Actually DNF。 I thought I liked this trilogy and eagerly awaited this last segment。 This is just vicious brutality。 Vicious porn。 Adrian is an actual monster。 I don’t care that he would kill to keep Lia safe or that he would kill another man for touching her。 I DO care that he beats and brutalizes Lia。 She begs him to stop。 He doesn’t。 This is not love and I couldn’t keep subjecting myself to it。 Sorry， Rina， this was beyond dark and it was no romance at all。
